My BMC Journey

Creating a business model can indeed be a bit challenging. It requires a deep understanding of your business, including key partners, activities, resources, customer relationships, channels, cost structure, revenue streams, etc. Before creating the BMC together with my team, each of us had different perceptions of what our product would look like. From creating the BMC together, we were able to decide on a direction as a team and we came up with the idea of developing an easy-access app that would create an impact on the students' common problems dealt with inside the campus which is about the distance  of printing place and school supply store. The plan is to give them access to the fastest way to provide their school supply and printing needs especially when they need it right away. In the journey of formulating our business plan, we have come to a lot of realizations, from the start, when we were still gathering information from the students about the problems and issues they dealt with in CMU, the interventions that we have decided to make, to solve a certain problem or issue, til the proposal of our business plan. During the BMC proposal, it was not easy to face the panels; it gave us a little bit feeling of nervousness, but at the same time, we felt quite convinced that we would be able to present our BMC confidently, and luckily we did. Although we were not chosen among the groups that will be sent to the final pitching, we are still lucky enough that our BMC proposal got good feedbacks from the panels.

To conclude, creating this BMC tool and having this BMC proposal will surely help students like me in some ways such as in some basic innovative approaches to solving a problem and resolving real-world problems as well as collaboration and working with a team, persistence, planning, self-confidence commitment, risk-taking, and goal-seeking all these qualities are very important to acquire to become a successful individual in the future.
